One thing I’ve learned:

You can’t help it when you like somebody.

Your parents can say you should not,

your friends can say you must not,

even your brain can cry, “No!  Are you crazy!”

But when your heart says “Oh, yes!”

Well …

your parents,

your friends,

and even that voice in your head,

the one that tries to talk sense—

they’re just sounds,

nonsense,

noise.

Never even heard at all

by

your

deaf

heart.
